# Activate a connector

**Answer:** A space admin opens Space Administration › Automation Hub › Addons, opens the Claude Connector, ChatGPT Connector or MCP Connector tile and clicks Request. Coevera Customer Success approves the request and activates the connector for the space. Until then, nobody in the space can connect an assistant through it.

Each connector is activated per space and per connector: activating the Claude Connector does
not activate the ChatGPT Connector. All three are in beta and free.

## Request a connector

1. In Coevera, open **Space Administration › Automation Hub** and select the **Addons** tab.
2. Open the tile of the connector you need. Each is marked **Beta**.
   - **Claude Connector** for Claude.
   - **ChatGPT Connector** for ChatGPT.
   - **MCP Connector** for any other MCP client, configured with your own redirect URLs (see
     [Custom MCP connector](/ai/custom-connector/)).
3. Click **Request**.

Coevera Customer Success reviews the request and activates the connector for the space. Nothing
is installed in the space.

## The connector is not active yet

Until Customer Success approves the request, the connector cannot be used. A user who adds the
server in an assistant can start the sign-in, but Coevera refuses the consent for a space whose
connector is not active, so the assistant never gets a token.

No turnaround time is published. To follow up on a request, contact support through the Contact
Support form in the app, Support Chat, or the address in Coevera's
[help-center article on contacting support](https://help.coevera.com/en/articles/2728995-how-to-contact-coevera-s-support-team),
or contact Coevera through [coevera.com/contact](https://www.coevera.com/contact/).

## Who can connect once it is active

Activation makes the connector available to the space. Each user then connects their own
assistant, and the consent rules on [OAuth and scopes](/ai/oauth-and-scopes/) apply: only a user
with the **Admin API Access** right in the space can approve the scopes.

## Disconnect

To stop a connector for the space, disable it in the Automation Hub. A user can also remove the
connector in the assistant.
